In a world where so many of us take little to no accountability for our situations in life, it’s a rare treat to meet someone such as Meredith.

Meredith, 36 years old, was born in NSW moved to Point Cook, Victoria, in recent years but also spent quite a bit of time living in the UK.
Meredith grew up in a family where all were overweight.
Meredith’s decision to take control was not a choice, it was a matter of life or death! “My health was at an all time crisis,” admitted Meredith. “My snap point was when I clocked the scales at 120kg. I got to the stage where I could barely walk for a few minutes before my ankles would give way. Just getting up at times was a real task in itself!”
“I was extremely unhappy about life, and literally eating myself to death” Meredith said.
Meredith decided to join Fenix Fitness Club at Point Cook. After consistent months of exercise, Meredith wasn’t seeing the changes she desperately wanted. Through a referral of a friend she signed up with Certified Transformation Specialist Matt Lavars.
“Right from the first time I spoke with Matt I felt confident I was doing the right thing. Matt spoke about where most people go wrong and it was like he read my mind - he knew exactly where I was and the problems I was having. Matt spoke about MP at it made sense, so I made the decision to sign up with Matt and commit to the 12 week MP challenge,” said Meredith.
“MP was so different to anything I’d experienced - it addressed everything. Even though it took me a while to get the hang of it, I could see how well structured and sustainable MP was. In the gym, the training techniques Matt was showing me were awesome. The workouts are exhilarating but they’re not exhausting."
"As I progressed through my first program I gained more and more energy. I could feel changes although the scales didn’t move much. Throughout my second and third MP programs I really experienced changes in body shape,” explained Meredith.
“You have to stay focused and committed," says Meredith. "I made mistakes and had my bad days, still do. However, I believed in Matt and the MP program - the fact it's based on scientific research. Every week just got easier. When I started to feel so much better and then see real changes, it’s so motivating.
“It took me a while to really understand the value of resistance training - mostly because I thought you had to spend hours every day doing it. The way MP is structured, I absolutely love training with weights. I don't think I could live without my workouts now. I can do a pull up by myself, well almost! I don’t have any problems with my ankles."
Meredith went on to say "I really like the fact with MP there is always something new and exciting to learn. The structure MP provides made such a difference, I needed that. I became accountable for everything I do. MP empowers you - it made me realize I have the power to change while presenting a clear path to do it.”
Meredith said, "I’ve used personal trainers before but there is a big difference between a personal trainer and what Matt is, a Transformation Specialist. With Matt, everything was organized, planned and prepared. Matt always knew what I was going through but remained one step ahead. With Matt I achieved amazing changes but I've also created a lifestyle that will keep them. I’m finally happy in my self. I’ll never go back to the old me."
Meredith trains just 2 days a week with Matt, and she participates in his group training ICE sessions another two or three times each week.
In just under 12 months, Meredith has lost over 50kgs (110 pounds) of unwanted weight.
